I have a knack for appreciating the small things in life, though ‘knack’ feels too light a word for the full-body waves of gratitude that wash over and pour out of me. I am often, quite literally, struck by the simple beauty of mundane moments, so much so that they sometimes bring me to tears.
I believe that our days - woven from these moments - are worthy of love notes. I believe our years grow richer when we recognize and cherish them, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. The moments in my life that stop me in my tracks and fill me with warmth may be different from yours, but my hope is that in sharing mine, you’ll be inspired to notice your own.
The word ‘notes’ in Love Notes is intentional. Reading is one of my great loves. I buy books and subscribe to blogs, newsletters, and Substacks more than I’ll ever be able to read. But time is finite, and so are the hours I can devote to my many loves. As much as I enjoy reading a beautifully composed post or article, my excitement dims with each scroll downward, knowing I likely won’t make time to read it all. There is too much I want to see, do, write, create, and experience. So, Love Notes will be just that - short, intentional reflections. A paragraph or two whenever possible, so that you may gather a kernel of inspiration and return to the beauty of your own moments.
In the simplest of terms and smallest of scales, my hope is to inspire you to find the joy in life’s smallest moments by sharing mine. On a broader scale, my dream is to encourage you to shift your focus away from the world’s current chaos and negativity—especially in this moment, February 2025—and instead cultivate gratitude, knowing that our collective energy has the power to shape reality. Choosing joy is an act of radical rebellion. When enough of us do it, we shift the vibrational frequency of the earth, aligning with a higher, happier timeline. This is how we manifest the life and the world we long for. When we are joyful and grateful for that joy, nothing can hold us back.
