I hosted a full moon ritual, and I want to share it with you. Typing those words out loud isn’t easy.
I wasn’t always this way. Three years ago, if you’d strung together the words full moon ritual, I might have looked at you sideways. I may have been game to participate, but with an underlying hesitation and inner smirk that would privately betray my skepticism and haughty amusement. I am her no more. Crystals? Yes, please. Tarot readings? Daily. Reiki? I’m certified. Psychic abilities? I have them - and I’m still learning what that means.
On the inside and in my private moments I am full woo. Yet, coming out of the spiritual closet has not been easy for me. Will people think I’m weird? Will they laugh at me? If I talk about my new interests and abilities, will they feign acceptance while inwardly scoffing? I am a poster child for inner conflict - yearning to share these new parts of me while fearing the judgment that may follow.
Maybe you know that feeling too - the ache to share a part of yourself that others might not understand. Maybe you’re just beginning to listen to the quiet voice that says: there’s more. Maybe you’ve hungered to connect on a deeper level and in meaningful new ways, but don’t know how or with whom.
Of Ink & Ember is my portal for stepping out of the spiritual closet - a space that I labor to make poetic and intimate. An exploration of the unseen but strongly felt. A verdant garden of unfolding petals, revealing the showstopping beauty of a woman coming into full bloom. One that welcomes you in whichever stage of spiritual transformation you find yourself, from haughtily amused to spiritually-curious to full woo.
That’s why I created this full moon ritual - to honor myself by shedding a protective layer, and to mark the full moon with intention, reverence, and sisterhood. Wherever you are on your path - I see you. May you meet yourself under the light of the moon and feel something stir within.
Thank you, i will us it. I have a lot to let go of, and I know this will be a great way for me to do just that, and connect with the spiritual universe. Thank you for being who you are and who you've always been.
